How can I get rid of the Herpes Virus

Just how can I get rid of this herpes virus?  This is a concern that everyone who deals with an outbreak hears muttering to them selves.  Supposedly there is no cure or for the herpes virus. That is what your doctor will tell you when you go in to get your medication.  Your only recourse is alleviate the issue until it pops up again.

There are many way you can receive the herpes virus.  This range from having sex with someone with the virus to just rubbing against someone who has an open cut or lesion. The herpes 2 virus is very transmittable when you are having an outbreak, but can also still be transmitted when it is dormant.

There are many ways to protect yourself against outbreaks. These include the following:

  • Try to stay on a healthy diet.  Eating healthy foods and balanced meals will help keep your body healthy, thus keeping your immune system up.
  • Get plenty of sleep or rest.  A tired body will break down and cause outbreaks.  This was the biggest culprit for me.  I make sure I get plenty of sleep every night.
  • Another big cause of outbreaks is Stress.  This is probably the one thing causing the most outbreaks for people.  Stress can not always be avoided
  • Lastly try taking vitamins.  A multivitamin can help your body deal with issues such as lack of sleep and stress.

Dealing with the herpes outbreaks is another issue we need to discuss.  Everyone seems to have a different way to deal with the lesions and sores.  The best way to get them cleared up is to dry them up quickly.  They should be rinsed with baking soda or corn starch.  Epsom salts can also be used.  A way to deal with itching is applying apricot oil.  It has omega  acids and high amounts of vitamin e to help stop the itch.  I have applied milk to stop the itching, it has worked for me.  Just take a paper towel or cloth and apply it to the area.  Last but not least there is Ice.  This always works and is readily available.   Always make sure that if there are others around that might use the bath tub or cloth towel you just dabbed your sore with, make sure to clean it before they use it.

Taking a healthy approach with not only eating, but exercising and getting plenty of rest are the best remedies to stop your outbreaks.  Try to stay stress free also, though I know that is not always easy.
